Caves of Kastania

The Kastania Caves were discovered by a farmer in the early 1900s who saw some bees entering through a hole in the ground . Assuming that there might be underground water, he opened the crack and found in it a magnificent cave. A 30-minute tour takes you to a magical cavern of stalactites and stalagmites. Variety of shapes, cascades of colours, concentration of pillars and columns and animal figures, the caves of Kastania ranked second of its kind in all of Europe. Nature took three million years to create this fantastic world with its unmatched style. The cave has an area of ​​1,500 square meters divided into two levels in a path of 500 meters. Other areas have yet to be explored.
